Well, another year, another Jamuary. Another month-long test of our skills as musicians to crank something out really stinkin' fast. While this was a lot of fun, I have to concede that I did not make it to a full 31 tracks, thanks to uni studies kicking my butt.

Anyhoo, here's Jamuary 2022 edition. You'll notice that the days are all out of order, but it's for a reason. I ended up with a lot of songs that had similar vibes, so I've organized the album into 4 sections.

Section 1, Tracks 1-12:
This is all the beats that I made during Jamauary. 90% made on my MPC One, 8% made on my PO-133 Streetfighter, and the remaining 2% on my Model:Cycles. Samples from various bits n places.

Favorite Track(s): Day 9, Day 21.

Section 2, Tracks 13-17:
In this section we have all the miscellaneous bits, tracks that don't really fit in anywhere else in the flow of the album. This is also where the worst tracks are, so feel free to skip this part.

Favorite Track: Day 3.

Section 3, Tracks 18-25:
For the Side B of this album I put all the ambient tracks I made. These are all very long and potentially boring to some. But I enjoyed making them and trying out new approaches to the process. My favorite new tool that I used was recording songs to tape and then slowing it down and recording it back. It gives such a nice hiss and warmth to stuff that makes a vibe I really dig.

Favorite Track: Day 10.

Section 4, Tracks 26-27:
The final section comprises two "true" jams that were done with friends of mine, and recorded on my phone. I had the most fun doing these out of all the tracks. Live playing FTW!

Favorite Track: Day 31.
